We’re looking for a Postdoctoral Appointee to contribute to cutting-edge R&D in aerosol jet direct-write printing and microelectronic systems fabrication.
🔬 Your Role
- Conduct experimental research in advanced additive manufacturing (AM) techniques
- Innovate with aerosol/spray-based printing for metals and dielectrics
- Collaborate across disciplines to develop microelectronic devices for national security
- Contribute to publications, data analysis, and tool development
🎓 Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field (awarded within last 5 years)
- Research experience in additive manufacturing
- U.S. citizenship (must qualify for DOE Q clearance)
💡 Preferred Skills
- Experience with aerosol printing, CAD, fixture design, or integrating AM processes
- Mechanical/electrical property characterization (e.g., probe station, profilometer)
- Finite element analysis for thermal/mechanical modeling
- Strong team player with adaptability, creativity, and commitment to lab safety
