General Description
The Central University of Rajasthan has issued an addendum (dated 22 August 2025) under its rolling advertisement (Advt. No. 1494 dated 25 July 2025), introducing one Assistant Professor (OBC-01) position in the Neuroscience Programme within the Department of Health Science. This academic appointment aligns with UGC norms and is open under Government of India regulations. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy one of the following:
- A Master’s degree in Neurology, Neurobiology, Neuroscience, Neuro-Biochemistry, Cognitive Neuroscience, Neurogenetics, Clinical Neuroscience, or Computational Neuroscience (from an accredited Indian or foreign university).
OR - A Master’s in Life Sciences plus a Ph.D. in any of the above-listed Neuroscience specializations.
In addition:
- Minimum 50% marks in the Master’s degree and at least 55% marks in at least two preceding examinations.
- National Eligibility Test (NET) in Life Sciences is required, unless the candidate holds a Ph.D. awarded under UGC Regulations 2018, which exempts the NET requirement.
Required Expertise & Skills
- Academic credentials and research specialization in one of the focused areas of Neuroscience.
- Evidence of consistent academic performance and scholarly potential.
- For exempted candidates, completion of a UGC-Regulations-compliant Ph.D. confers equivalent eligibility.
Salary Details
Compensation follows UGC/CURAJ norms for Assistant Professors, corresponding to Level-10 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, inclusive of applicable allowances and provisions.
