General Description
RCB is inviting applications for a contractual position of Project Manager under the project “Setting up Early Translation Accelerator (ETA): To transform academic discoveries in the field of industrial Biotechnology with possible commercial and societal impact into economically viable ventures and technologies”, funded by BIRAC.

The Project Manager will oversee the ETA project implementation, ensuring objectives are achieved on schedule and within allocated resources. Key responsibilities include:

• Scouting for potential technologies in industrial biotechnology and engaging with inventors/academics to identify translational opportunities.

• Presenting shortlisted projects to expert committees.

• Collaborating with external organizations, experts, and stakeholders to advance Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).

• Managing resources efficiently (financial, human, technical) as per project needs.

• Documenting project selection, progress, monitoring, and outcomes for regular reporting to BIRAC.

• Identifying risks, preparing mitigation strategies, and handling issues to avoid delays.

• Managing technology accelerator agreements between academia, inventors, and industry partners.

Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in reputed scientific organizations managing life sciences projects, preferably in bioprocess technology, biotherapeutics, or biopharma.

Required Expertise & Skills

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects on time.

• Strong project management expertise, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

• Proven track record in life sciences project management with translational and applied focus.

• Excellent documentation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
