Position Overview
This postdoc focuses on modeling flood risk and cascading effects in the context of an EU-cofunded international project. The role integrates hydrological modeling, hydraulic modeling, and risk assessment to support climate-resilient flood management.

Full-time postdoctoral appointment; multi-year duration aligned with project timeline.
Start Date
- Expected between November 2025 and January 2026 (negotiable).
Supervisor / Contact Person
Faculty in HECE group at University of Liège (details in the EGU job ad).
Required Qualifications
- PhD in hydrology, civil/environmental engineering, geosciences, or related field.
- Strong experience with numerical modeling and flood risk assessment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with European flood directives and risk frameworks.
- Experience in GIS and programming (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
