Project: Development of a Fiber-Based Magnetometer System

Nature of Work

The selected candidate will work on the assembly, characterization, and validation of a fiber-based magnetometer. Responsibilities include:

  • Design and simulation of photonic and fiber-optic components 
  • Use of optical simulation software (COMSOL, Lumerical) 
  • Fiber splicing, alignment, and packaging 
  • Signal conditioning, data acquisition, and noise analysis 
  • Prototyping, testing, and performance evaluation 
  • Preparation of technical reports

Essential Qualifications

  • B.E / B.Tech in: 
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering 
    • Electrical & Electronics Engineering 
    • Mechanical Engineering 
    • Fiber Optics / Photonics 
    • OR related fields 
  • Required skills: 
    • Understanding of fiber-optic sensing 
    • Experience in simulation tools (COMSOL, Lumerical) 
    • Data acquisition and signal analysis 
  • Valid GATE / NET qualification 
  • Age limit: Below 32 years

Salary:  ₹37,000 + 24% HRA per month

Tenure

  • Initially 1 year (extendable based on performance)
