Essential Qualification & Experience

• Minimum PhD with first class at preceding degree in relevant discipline.
• Asst Prof Grade-II: <3 years post-PhD experience.
• Asst Prof Grade-I: ≥3 years post-PhD teaching / research / industry experience.
• Associate Professor: ≥6 years (≥3 years at Assistant Professor Level-12).
• Professor: ≥10 years (≥4 years at Associate Professor level).

Pay Scale (7th CPC)

• Assistant Professor Grade-II: Level 10, min basic ₹70,900.
• Assistant Professor Grade-I: Level 12, min basic ₹1,01,500.
• Associate Professor: Level 13A2; Professor: Level 14A, with usual allowances & research grants.
