General Information !
The RFCSR Instrument Grant Program supports research labs and scientific groups by funding the purchase of critical scientific instruments. We aim to enhance research capacity, foster innovation, and facilitate high-quality scientific output, particularly in resource-constrained environments.
This program is open to research lab heads of academic and research institutions, with preference given to proposals demonstrating high impact, collaborative potential, and alignment with national or global research priorities.
Eligibility Criteria !
To be eligible:
- The applicant must be a researcher or faculty member affiliated with an accredited academic or research institution.
- Be engaged in original scientific research.
- The applying lab/group must not have access to similar equipment.
- Institutions must provide necessary infrastructure (space, power, staff) for the requested instrument.
- Applicants must demonstrate the potential for significant scientific advancement or community benefit through the equipment.
- Preference may be given to:
- Young or mid-career or senior investigators
- Underfunded institutions
- Projects involving student training or multidisciplinary research
!Note: Priority is given to applicants from underrepresented academic or scientific institutions, and those demonstrating strong academic merit.
Application Process !
- Review the eligibility and requirements.
- Complete the online application form.
- Applications are reviewed by a peer-review committee of subject experts.
- Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for additional information or clarification.
- Final decisions are announced via email.
- Selected grantees must submit a usage report and acknowledgment upon implementation.

Guidelines for Implementation !
- Grantees must submit:

- Funds must be used exclusively for the approved equipment purchase.
- Procurement must follow institutional policies, but transparency is required.
- Equipment must remain accessible to the applying lab/group for at least 3 years.
- Acknowledgment of RFCSR in publications is required.
- Any significant deviation from intended use requires written approval.
