The GLOBE Research Group at the University of South Bohemia invites applications for a Post-doctoral Researcher to join a prestigious ERC-CZ funded project on animal migrations in a changing world. This ambitious international study aims to explore how climate change and human pressures impact the adaptive value of migration across latitudinal gradients β from the Arctic to Patagonia.

π§ͺ Your Role
- Lead and conduct ornithological fieldwork across Europe and South America
- Analyze ecological data, conduct comparative research, and synthesize published studies
- Manage large datasets and contribute to peer-reviewed publications
- Supervise students, coordinate field teams, and engage with conservation stakeholders
- Present findings at conferences and promote research to public and scientific audiences
π What You Bring
- PhD in evolutionary biology, behavioural ecology, zoology, or a related field
- Field experience (preferably Arctic/tropical) and ornithological skills (e.g., bird handling)
- Proficiency in R and statistical modeling
- Strong publication record and teamwork skills
- Valid driverβs license (required)
