The Laboratory of Plant Cell Biology at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Gdańsk & Medical University of Gdańsk is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to explore fundamental plant cell and developmental processes using cutting-edge genetic and imaging techniques.

🌱 About the Role
You will investigate the molecular architecture and function of conserved endomembrane trafficking and morphogenesis networks in Arabidopsis thaliana. Using a powerful combination of:

  • Advanced live-cell imaging

  • Genetic engineering & CRISPR tools

  • Protein-protein interaction analysis

  • Developmental genetics

You’ll lead experimental work, collaborate with a PhD student, and take a central role in publishing impactful research.

  • Position: Postdoctoral Researcher in Plant Cell Biology

  • Start date: Anticipated January 1, 2026

  • Funding: OPUS 28 grant, National Science Centre, Poland

  • Salary: Competitive, set at 110% of postdoc base scale

🎯 Your Profile
We’re looking for candidates who are:

  • PhD holders (or near completion) in plant molecular, cell, or developmental biology

  • First-author of peer-reviewed publications or submitted manuscripts

  • Experienced in molecular biology, plant genetics, and/or cell biology

  • Motivated, well-organized, and enthusiastic about collaborative research

  • Fluent in English for scientific communication and publishing
