This interdisciplinary program spans the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, and the INM. It focuses on engineering covalent bonds for designing molecules and materials using modern synthesis, spectroscopy, and theory.

🔹 1. PhD Positions (10 total)

🧭 What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute a doctoral research project under expert supervision
- Join interdisciplinary, collaborative projects with international research stays

🔹 2. Postdoctoral Research Assistant

Focus: Thin film research (organic/inorganic), surface characterization, electronic/magnetic properties
🧭 What You’ll Do:
- Deposit thin films via vapor/solution techniques
- Characterize surfaces (especially via AFM)
- Maintain and enhance AFM/deposition setups
- Collaborate with RTG members from multiple disciplines

- Doctoral degree in natural sciences or engineering
- English proficiency: C1 level
- Desired: Experience with sensitive compounds, teaching, German (B2)

🧭 What You’ll Do:
- Manage RTG office operations and reporting
- Monitor research activities, compliance, budget, and outreach
- Lead public relations and digital communications (web, social media)

- Strong writing/reporting skills (scientific & non-scientific)
- Experience in research management and outreach
