Position Overview

This PhD project investigates genetic variation in cereal crops—mainly barley and wheat—that contribute to drought, heat, and salinity tolerance. The candidate will work with GWAS, QTL mapping, climate chamber experiments, and trait-level phenotyping.

Candidate Requirements

• MSc in Plant Breeding, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related fields 
• Experience with bioinformatics/statistics is an advantage 
• Strong interest in climate resilience and crop improvement 
• Good English communication skills
