Position Overview

Professor Amit Kumar, Canada Research Chair in Assessment of Energy Systems, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate to join a dynamic research group working on energy and environmental systems engineering. The role focuses on integrated resource planning and modeling for energy demand and supply, with applications in policy and decision-making for sustainable energy futures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research in energy forecasting and planning.

• Develop integrated resource planning models (e.g., LEAP, MARKAL).

• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and prepare technical reports.

• Collaborate with industry, government, and international partners.

• Supervise junior researchers and contribute to proposal writing.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• PhD in engineering or related discipline with emphasis on energy systems.
