Position Overview
These postdoctoral fellowships focus on bioinformatics, AI, single-cell omics, and systems biology to understand early molecular changes leading to cardiometabolic diseases (obesity, diabetes, CVD). Fellows will analyze large single-cell and multi-omics datasets and build computational models of gene regulation and disease trajectories.
Duration / Type of Position
Full-time, 3-year fixed-term postdoc.
Start Date
- 1 March 2026, or later by agreement.
Supervisor / Contact Person
Associate Professor Jordi Merino (Merino Group, CBMR).
Required Qualifications
- PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, machine learning, statistical genetics, genomics, or related field.
- Strong programming skills (Python or R) and experience with large-scale omics datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cardiometabolic or complex disease research.
- Background in network modeling or systems biology.
