Position Overview
KAUST invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position focused on data-driven machine learning within the Biological and Environmental Science & Engineering (BESE) Division. The successful candidate will develop and apply machine learning and statistical modeling approaches to address complex biological and environmental problems. This highly interdisciplinary role provides opportunities to collaborate with researchers across KAUST’s divisions, leveraging large-scale bioinformatics and environmental datasets.

Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field
- Experience applying machine learning to biological or environmental data
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications
- Proven publication record in ML or data science
- Experience with large datasets (bioinformatics, climate, or ecological data)
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, or related languages)
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary research teams
