Position Overview

The University of Michigan seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to investigate the role of the microbiome in human health and disease. The project will integrate microbiome sequencing, metabolomics, and clinical data to identify microbial markers of disease risk and therapeutic potential.

Eligibility

• PhD in microbiology, bioinformatics, or related field.

• Evidence of productivity through publications or presentations.

• Interest in translational microbiome research.

Expertise Required

• Skills in metagenomics, multi-omics integration, or metabolomics.

• Experience in bioinformatics pipelines (QIIME, MetaPhlAn, etc.).

• Statistical analysis in R or Python.

Salary

$58,000 – $65,000 per annum, with full UM benefits.
