Position Overview

The University of Vienna seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to study the social dimensions of climate change, with a focus on public attitudes, policy responses, and governance. The researcher will join an interdisciplinary project that links social science, political science, and climate research to inform sustainable policy design at the European and global levels.

Eligibility

• PhD in sociology, political science, environmental policy, or related discipline.

• Demonstrated research experience in climate or sustainability issues.

• Strong record of publications and communication skills.

Expertise Required

• Knowledge of survey methods, qualitative analysis, or policy evaluation.

• Familiarity with climate governance and international environmental policy.

• Skills in mixed-methods research are desirable.

Salary

Approx. €54,000 per annum under Austrian university pay scales.
