Position Overview
These fellowships support outstanding early-career scientists pursuing basic research in plant biology, especially those bringing quantitative or cross-disciplinary skills (engineering, physics, computation, chemistry, synthetic biology) into plant science, or vice versa. Simons Foundation
Duration / Type of Position
Three-year full-time postdoctoral fellowship.
Start Date
- Fellowships may commence on the first of any month between 1 July 2026 and 1 October 2026. Simons Foundation
Supervisor / Contact Person
Future postdoctoral research sponsor(s) selected by the applicant (one or two PIs, at least one in plant biology or one in another discipline).
Required Qualifications
- PhD (or equivalent) awarded within 3 years of the application deadline.
- Host institution must be a nonprofit research university or institute in the U.S. Simons Foundation
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in plant biology or a quantitative/technical discipline relevant to plant biology.
- Evidence of research excellence and potential for leadership.
